I was discussing "soccer agents" recently with my friend Simon and a friend of his who works in PR for the Football Association. I am staggered that players give so much power and money to their agents. Why does an established star want to give somebody 20% of a transfer deal... just for (it seems to me) attending a few meetings and sending a few faxes.
